Meet The Founders

Tory Queensley
Once in the throws of addiction, Tory's new leaf began when her daughter was born. Now thriving in her recovery, Tory is committed to helping others find peace, health, and purpose in their sobriety.
As a a multifaceted Registered Nurse who specializes in behavioral mental health, Tory blends evidence-based practice with real-world resilience and always keeps it real. Her approach is sharp, human-centered, and future-focused, cutting through stigma to deliver support that is both practical and deeply transformative. Tory's belief in this mission is strongly rooted in changing the system and those who are apart of it. Her passion in this work reflects a simple truth: when mothers heal, families strengthen, and entire communities shift.

Tara Carlson
For the past three years, Tara has served as a dedicated social worker in the Fargo area, supporting children and their families as they navigate challenges and overcome barriers. With her clients she witnessed first hand the gaps in the system. Tara was moved to do something about it. Together with Tory, Empowerher was born.
With a B.A. in Sociology, Tara brings a strong understanding of social systems, community dynamics, and the dynamic factors that shape people’s lives. Passionate about removing systemic barriers, she works tirelessly to strengthen connections between community systems to create more equitable, accessible, and effective support networks. Tara’s work is driven by the belief that families thrive when communities collaborate.
